AUDITION CALL!!!
If you have Down syndrome and want to be in 8performances of a Fringe Festival
play this summer (July 4-14) we want to hear from you.
If you can act, sing, play an instrument, dance or express yourself
through visual arts, we want you to audition (despite speech challenges and/or
no previous experience as a performer)!
If you have a story to tell, we want to hear it at our sit-down audition
that will be more like a group discussion than a performance. Tell us something
meaningful that has happened in your life. It can be a happy or sad story… or
both! Tell it through words, music, dance or art.
We are looking for people with Down syndrome who can commit to a rigorous
daytime rehearsal schedule, three-four days a week from the beginning of May
until show time in July. (You must be able to take direction and be a
team player in order to audition.) Pre-rehearsal workshops will be
scheduled on some Saturdays in February, March and April.
This play will be directed by Judith Thompson and produced by Madeleine Greey of Diverse Creations Theatre Company.
Auditions will take place on Feb 4 and 5 at Fringe Creation Lab at 720 Bathurst
Street, 4th floor.
If you’re interested contact Madeleine Greey at
416-469-0852 or email mado@madeleinegreey.com to
reserve your audition spot.
